Horses can easily overheat if the hood is too heavy for the weather conditions or if they are exercising too heavily. ALWAYS MONITOR YOUR HORSE for signs of sweating under the hood.

Hand wash in warm water with mild soap. Drip dry (the best way to dry spandex). Always ensure hook and loop is fully closed as to not snag the garment. Use laundry bag if available.
